A selection of my personal photography taken during my travels of the world and exploration.
Seascapes, landscapes and light painting are the main subjects.
I recently visited Japan and spent a few days in Osaka and visited the amazing Osaka Castle. I spent the day walking around the grounds taking in all its beauty. Even though this photo looks incredibly peaceful and tranquil, it was actually teeming with life with people from all walks of life. I spent around 30 minutes trying to find the perfect time between crowds to get this shot.
Looking through hanging bark trees to the hydro dam at Jenolan Caves
This was one of the smaller yet amazingly beautiful exhibitions at Vivid Sydney 2015. Simply called 'The Dresses'
During Vivid Sydney 2015 I was looking at different angles and discovering views and compositions I previously had not considered. Its quite enjoyable getting back to basics.
Experimenting with light graffiti at an abandoned train station in the Royal National Park
To get back into the swing of things for 2015 i thought it would be a good idea to get back to the roots. I reached out to William Patino who is a Sydney based sea scape and landscape photographer. A massive inspiration for me. Unfortunately the sky didn’t really turn it on, however the water colour and movement was incredible. Hope to visit soon with some colour in the sky.
Dominion was entered into the Cliftons Art Prize 2012, it placed 2nd. The glowing green orb is offering a chance to revisit some of Sydney’s history. Through use of long exposure photography I find it presents a sense of time standing still and time travel encompassing the scene. The markings of star trail and cloud movements cannot be seen as a whole through the human eye, it is only once the image has been captured does it come together as a keyhole into Sydney’s past.
